2. Oolong tea

This level of caffeine in popular Chinese tea can help people with type 2 diabetes reduce blood sugar.

Use two teaspoons of oolong leaves in a cup of hot water and allow to infuse for 1-5 minutes. Avoid using boiling water to make this herbal drink.

3. Ginseng tea

Ginseng tends to slow the absorption of carbohydrates and increase insulin secretion from the pancreas. It is recommended to drink a cup every morning to keep blood glucose levels under control.

Ginseng tea will be better if consumed fresh, compared to powder or tablets.

4. Aloe Vera Tea

Aloe vera tea has long been used as an herbal medicine to treat and manage most health conditions.

Research has shown that aloe vera can help in fighting the signs of type 2 diabetes and reducing fasting plasma glucose levels in people who show symptoms of prediabetes.

Fasting plasma glucose is a test that checks blood glucose levels after not eating or drinking for at least eight hours or fasting.

5. Sage Leaf Extract Tea

Sage has been shown to increase insulin activity in diabetics. Pour a cup of sage leaves in boiling water and strain the water before drinking.

Sage is an original herbal plant originating from the northern Mediterranean coast. This plant is known to treat various diseases from mental disorders to disorders of the digestive system. The antioxidant content of the famous sage leaves is very beneficial for health.

6. Bilberry tea

Bilberry extract is not recognized as a standard diabetes treatment, however, it helps reduce blood glucose levels.

7. Dandelion tea
